2019 Fall Middle School Program Begins
Tampa, FL – Our fall middle school baseball season is under way. We are in week 3 of our practices and will begin to play in some tournaments after our pitchers are built up properly. One of the hardest things we typically have to try to accomplish is the get players and parents to buy into what we are about. Well, this season we have a tremendous group of parents and players that are buying in to our process. There is no rush to get into tournaments and there is no FOMO on playing a lighter tournament schedule during the fall.
We also have some old and new faces within our coaching staff this season. Baseball University’s fall middle school staff includes:
- Mark Newman (Yankees, Southern Illinois, Old Dominion)
- Myron Leslie (A’s, Yankees)
- Shane Rowland (Indians)
- Addison Maruszak (Yankees, Phillies)
- Durin O’Linger (Red Sox)
- Casey Clary (Ind)
- Griffin Bailey (Yankees)
- Jamie Mallard (Angels)
With nearly a century of combined pro experience, as well as a ton of college experience, our staff is ready to take these young men to the next level. Our mission with this program is to continue the development of 13U/14U players with the goal of having them completely prepared for the demands of High School baseball. The program will build on specific baseball skills required for success on the big field while simultaneously learning and applying the best mental training and conditioning practices for healthy strength and speed development. This will be done in a professional, disciplined, competitive, and measured atmosphere with professional technologies and elite coaching.
These young men will practice three times a week. Twice at the field and one time at the academy. Above all, will track their development with professional technologies as well as with our custom programs.
We can’t wait to see where these group of players are at the end of the season.
